Wicked: A New Musical | Stephen Schwartz

This is not a quick and easy read. It took me a while to get into it, but once I did, it was tough to put down. I saw a lot of lessons in here about how people become how you treat them. Just like if you've seen the musical version, there is a revelation at the end that will leave you unable to watch the Wizard of Oz the same way again.

This takes the story of Rachel from the Bible and expands on it. In the Bible, her story is maybe a paragraph. There are some parts that were shocking and some that were slow reading. No matter which way you look at it, it was pretty good.

As with most mystery type novels, you think you have it all figured out pretty early on. But, also as usual, you missed 1 little detail. This one will keep you on your toes and wanting more.

Something about this one just grabs you and draws you in. This book makes you remember that people in prison aren't always the evil people they are made out to be. The true story of Attica will leave you feeling a little uneasy and thinking of how you could make little changes to be better in your own life.

Loved this one! There were some truly heartbreaking stories told. It was very eye opening when you realize this hall happened without the last 30 years. I felt it took on additional meaning with what is going on in our country these days.
