Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy | John le Carre

so-so

I was iffy on this. My husband described the movie as a "slow burn" and I get it now that I've finished. It was just so - dense.

jeff Kim - my buddy is a huge Le Carre fan. @thepaulhoa - are there others you recommend over Tinker? 8y

KimMarques I'd love recommendations because I feel like this didn't get a fair shake. I was trying to read it during a super busy time and there's just so much to take in. 8y

thepaulhoa @kimmarques Was this your first Le Carre novel? I'm a huge fan of his books, in particular the Smiley ones. But I also started from the beginning so had more of the history with Karla and the other players 8y

thepaulhoa Call For The Dead is great. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is fantastic too. But I think they all are! 8y

KimMarques Yeah, it was my first. I can see how starting from the beginning would probably make it a bit easier. And I've heard nothing but good things about The Spy Who Came in from the Cold. I'll have to give it another shot. Thanks for the recommendations! 8y
