And now on to a totally different read! My husband says this is one of his faves, so I've got to give it a try!

This was an easy, enjoyable read. Loved the parts in the old bookstore--great descriptions that made me want to visit!

"I always liked that I could put my hand on a book when I wanted it. And to know I owned them; that was important too." She totally gets me! ?

Not bad, but definitely not my favorite Swedish mystery.

Another pretty good one from Ruth Ware. I was worried in the beginning because it was following the same pattern as In a Dark, Dark Wood, but then it redeemed itself!

Crow Girl | Erik Axl Sund

This book was good, but SO LONG and so brutal and it took entirely too long to read. Life has been weird lately, and as much as I love them, I just can't go to another murder mystery. I need some suggestions for a fun, feel good book to go to next! Help!!

Yvonnel I felt exactly the same way! Needed a break from the intensity. I don't know what your reading style is, but I picked up This Must Be The Place by Maggie O' 7y
Yvonnel (Oops) Maggie O'Farrell and throughly enjoyed it. Well written, quirky characters and just what I needed as a break from my crimes and mysteries (but I will always love them the best) 7y

So far, I'm noticing a very similar pattern to "In a Dark, Dark Wood", but still enjoying this book. Winston agrees! ?

Security: A Novel | Gina Wohlsdorf

This book kept me hooked the whole time, but often in very different ways from page to page. I am left with so many questions at the end (WHO?!?! WHY?!?!), but sometimes neat little packages don't make the most memorable books. Really enjoyed this one. Highly recommended!

Took a while to get going in this book, but once it picked up, it was quite good! Willing to try the second sometime soon.

sprainedbrain The books get better! I liked the second one more, and the third is my favorite. 😃 8y

The Trespasser | Tana French

My day has officially been made!!! Just saw that Tana French has a new Dublin Murder Squad book coming out in October and I can't wait!!! She is one author that I am totally satisfied with every single time. Definitely something to look forward to!

This was a quick read, and I loved a lot of it, but parts of it seem so contrived and predictable... Fun couple of days spent in this one though!

Spending time with one of my favorite girls today! If you like detective novels, check out the Maisie Dobbs series. She is one of my most favorite characters ever!

Enjoyed this whole series! Great alternative to the usual dystopian YA novel.

Starting into this third book of the Miss Peregrine trilogy. Loved the first two, so hoping this one stands up as well. Interesting it begins with a quote from one of my favorite authors! ;)

I miss Stieg Larsson. It was a nice try, but it lacked the depth that Larsson was able to achieve in the Millennium series.
