Just finished Sunrise on the Reaping the other day. Absolutely loved it but it was definitely hard to get over it. I never really liked or disliked Hamitch but I definitely understand him. His trauma was way worse than I imagined.

Reading this in honor of National Poetry Month and because of the scary times and hardships my people are currently facing.
Not going to lie, I struggled with this book because I read it in Spanish. It was full of mysticism and was a great insight into the hardships of an abandoned town in Mexico during the cristero period as Juan Preciado returns to find his father.
I‘ll eventually reread it in English because I feel I may have lost some nuances. Overall, I recommend.
So, I finished this book a few days ago and never got around to reviewing. It‘s a some of the stories either went over my head or I simply just couldn‘t get into (my ADD most likely played a part in that.
Other stories were really good but triggering. Overall I‘m happy I read it and am going to go back and reread the stories I didn‘t quite get.
Checked this out from my local library. Can‘t wait to get started.

Well, I did it! First book I‘ve finished in a while. A little slow to start but overall I loved it.
Started this book a month ago. It‘s so far so good but just haven‘t found the time to sit down and read.
