Excellent book! Mail order brides from Massachusetts to The Washington Territory and the struggles of women before the vote. Lots of history for strong women. Just finished it on Audible. I find historical fiction books come to life on Audible.

I started reading this series many years ago and I believe this last book has been my favorite! The last two I have listened to on Audible, which was a very good experience. Sometimes ‘hearing‘ a book makes all the difference in the world. Father Tim and the small town of Mitford seem like family to me now. Jan Karon draws you in and latches on with this series.

Historical fiction AND working with fabrics! What more can you ask for in a book...great read in books, kindle, and on Audible.

Read this a few years ago and loved it. (A story of life in the Deep South during the time of Jim Crow Law, and before Roe vs. Wade.)
Susan now has another book out in a whole different genre. A murder mystery set in south Florida. NAKED ALLIANCES.

Finished listening to this on Audible yesterday. Loved it. It will not disappoint if you are into historical fiction as I am these days.

I had a 2 for 1 credit I had to use by midnight tonight on Audible. Of course there are only certain titles that are eligible. I've been wanting to read this so of course it was my first choice.
