Pickpick

This book feels bigger than it looks. So well written, right from the beginning I was hooked. The story slowed a little but still kept my attention because I loved the characters. Writing was descriptive but not over the top. Really clever storyline I had no idea until the last few pages! Would really recommend this book.

"The long rain soaked the green so it tinted the light, seducing wild flowers to dance in sunbeam and shadow. It scented the air with earth and pine and secrets."

A sensory experience, I can see, smell and feel it and also a sense of unexpected fear looming.

My daughter found this treasure in Waterstones, it was only £1 due to cover damage. This book gives a pure insight into the world of an autistic child. As a children's counsellor I have read many books about Autism and have counselled many children on the Spectrum this book gave me so much insight and answers more than any other I've read. It's a book you can read over and over again.

It Ends With Us | Colleen Hoover
Pickpick

I really enjoyed It Ends With Us. The story depicts how easy it could be to find yourself in an abusive relationship and have no idea what's happening until it's too late. There were moments reading it where I felt frustrated, angry and tearful. Relationships are prevalent throughout and the roller coaster ride of each one. It's not a doom and gloom book, it's shows strength and courage throughout.

Mehso-so

It started off OK then became increasingly boring. Nothing was happening in the investigation and the same topics and theories were coming up but said in a different ways. I hoped it would pick up pace towards the end. I persevered with it but will admit I put the book down at times and considered not completing it. There were moments that were witty which made me laugh. Potentially a good storyline. Errors in text too, words printed twice.

Really looking forward to reading this book. My usual choice is Jodi Picoult. I'm excited to read Caz Frear's style of writing and the story that unfolds!
