I‘ll be honest: Early in the book, I was planning on rating it “so-so.” I didn‘t feel like much was happening, and Nick seemed too passive a narrator. But then I hit the drama near the end, and I realized Fitzgerald had been establishing so many threads that, woven together, truly form a masterpiece. This book would definitely reward a second read, and I plan on giving it one soon!

Some books just stick with you. This is one of those for me. I read it for the first time over four years ago, and I‘m still struck by the truth, the beauty, and the pain captured on these pages. John Green is a true artist.
