Dang, I didn't think it was possible to write a good (non-historical) romance wherein the heroine falls for her rapist. Harlequin Superromances don't play, and this one was FANTASTIC.

Waaay more intimate than I expected. Refreshingly real, if highly stylized à la Slater.

Reread. Her insecurities feel real and not so overwhelming that they become annoying. A solid couple.

This is so does-what-it-says-on-the-tin kind of crazy that only Anne Stuart can deliver. A delightful variation on a theme after finishing reading Stuart's On Thin Ice for the fourth time this year.

Second time through the book after reading it on release date. Far more graphic than I remember. Still not "enjoyable," but a fantastic read. Even better the second time around.

Ugh, I wish there was something between "pick" and "so-so." Entertaining, but I don't know if I'd read it again. Modern marriage on convenience on Australian ranches, with some major love triangles and repressed trauma. Recommended if that's your cup of tea.

So good. Feels like MacLean is shifting as a novelist, but these characters are so rich and so real, in true MacLean style.
