If you were (PRONOUN), would you (VERB) the awesomeness of the subjunctive I just dropped there? Of course you would!

Pickpick

When fighting (CHILDHOOD SCARY THING), make sure to pack lots of (TYPE OF METAL), (COMMON KITCHEN SEASONING), and (MAGNETIC OBJECT). Oh, and don't poke the ghost. It'll kill you. This horror/ mystery novel also sidesteps the YA genre's failings.

The heroine is competent from the start and KNOWS IT, there is no stupid romantic subplot, the mystery isn't blindly obvious from page 3, the ghosts are scary, and the world is effectively developed.

If I were (FAMOUS CHARACTER), I would have gone to (RIDICULOUS LOCATION) with the (LEGENDARY FICTIONAL ITEM) instead. And go!

AndreaReads If I were Bilbo Baggins I would have gone to Disneyland with The One True Ting instead! 7y
hermyknee If I were Harry Potter, I would've gone to TELPAS Calibration with Felix Felicis instead. 7y
