Pickpick

Apparently Riordan is pushing agendas in his books. I'll just say that the point of these books is that everyone deserves a hero. That includes queer kids. Anyway, as cliché as it sounds, I couldn't put the book down. Magnus and co are refreshing protagonists who are easy to love. I also adore how even after 13 books, Rick is still a master at crafting his universe. With both inhuman action and human characters, this series is one of my favorites.

The Hidden Oracle | Rick Riordan
Pickpick

Uncle Rick Delivers. This book is so unique in that it is just like Riordan's other 13+ books, but felt like it was my first time diving into his universe. This book is fresh and incredibly queer perspective on the series that even tackles serious issues like child abuse. It's also incredibly diverse, with a bisexual protagonists, several members of the LGBT+ community, and several ethnicities joining in on the mythological fun this time around.
