Post-mammogram purchases. BITTERBLUE is one of my absolute favourite books, but my copy's stuffed with four-leaf clovers so it's a little hard to read. This new copy solves that problem!
My walk also took me past a BRAND NEW LITTLE FREE LIBRARY! I didn't get a picture, but I did talk to the woman who runs it. She's excited at how much interest there's been. I'm gonna take a bunch of books over there tomorrow.

xicanti @AmyG I've got an appointment on Friday to talk to my doctor about some blood test results, so I'm hoping she's heard about the mammogram by then, too. 6y
alisiakae 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Hooray for protecting your #tatas 😃 💗💗 I had to start mammograms early due to family history, I find that taking an ibuprofen beforehand helps with any lingering pain, but usually I am fine. In and out in 15 minutes! 6y

xicanti @4thhouseontheleft this was my very first one. Hopefully I won't have to have another for quite a while! There's only a little history on my paternal side, but I found a lump a week ago. My doctor says it's probably a cyst, but she sent me for the mammogram to get a better idea of what's going on in there. 6y
xicanti @theresidentromantic basically, everything. I love how Bitterblue works through her own trauma and searches for answers on her people's behalf, too. I love how she negotiates relationships of all sorts, having been subjected to such unhealthy examples when she was little. I love that her love interest is bi and it's not an issue. I love the writing. I love how often some choice bit of imagery just SLAMS INTO ME. I love the world. 6y

theresidentromantic @xicanti Those are definitely the things I liked about Bitterblue. I wasn't a fan of how long it took her to push through the paperwork they were distracting her with to figure out the issue. I also was not a fan of how Po and Katsa were behaving, not one bit. I think those things were enough to throw me, but I would love to see her go back to the world! 6y
