Just reminding myself that I better get moving even when it‘s still and forever cold. Do those of you who deal with this winter on a regular basis ever dream of flying down south just to experience warm temperatures for an hour or so and then flying back? #litsywalkers @kaye

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Yep, and we talk about if we ever move it will be somewhere warmer, and this year it was especially dismal so we joked that if next year goes the same way we are investing in one of those sun lamps. 😂 5y
saguarosally @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Well golly if it‘s that dismal why do humans even live up North? I mean it looks like winter is like eight months and then it gets slightly warm. #readyfor115degrees 5y
Kaye In answer to your question , I think all winter about how nice it‘d be to live where the winters aren‘t so long. A couple of years , we went to Myrtle Beach or Smoky Mtns in the spring. It was so nice to peel off the coats and see flowers blooming and sunshine. The bad part of it is that once you get home , it‘s still cold , grey and ugly , so it‘s harder to come back to. It‘s easier just to stay here and wait it out I think. 5y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @saguarosally When I was a kid, I loved it...snow days, sledding, snow mobiles, snowmen...great stuff, plus you only had to go out for fun. During my working years is when it was a pain, get up clean off the car, drive on the yucky roads. I think they lure you in with the fun when you‘re a kid and then you‘re stuck....it‘s a trap! 😂 5y
Tamra I am okay with winter because I really don‘t like heat, so the further north the shorter the hot periods. 😊 5y
saguarosally @kaye But you could go back, make plans, and move. So what‘s different? 5y
saguarosally @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I did some playing in the snow as a kid. But then we moved in my preteen years and so I wasn‘t stuck! So maybe it‘s just alien to me know😂 5y
saguarosally @Tamra I‘m sorry, 110 degrees F is quite fun! 5y
Tamra @saguarosally 😳🥵 5y
Kaye I think if you‘ve lived in one place for 61 years, the roots run deep. We used to talk about moving South , and may still, but the chances are probably slim. We‘re just really used to it here. The older you get, the less adventuresome. ( at least in our case) (edited) 5y
saguarosally @kaye It seems like in colder climates people do tend to stick around more. 5y
