I love the #Outlander books and tv show. I'm all caught up on both. Luckily I have these #library books for my second prompt today. One day I'll have to buy a set of these books for show (they're to large to hold and read!) but for now I'll satisfy myself with the audio. Davina Porter narrates the audio versions and she's fabulous. Have you listened to any of Diana Gabaldon's books?

Blair_Reads I was considering getting them on audio but wanted an opinion of it first. Esp bc they are like 30+ hours long a good narrator is a must! I've read Outlander and have started Dragonfly. Love me some Jamie!! 💜💜 8y
swishandflick LOVE Outlander! I own all of the smaller paperbacks and they're not too big. You're right though, those hardcovers are brutal. One of my co-workers is working her way through the audiobooks (she's up to Drums of Autumn) and she loves them, she just said it just took her a little bit to get used to since Claire/Jamie start out younger and the narrator has an older voice. 8y
Zelma I love this series and the characters. So much fun and adventure and romance. Historical fiction is my jam so these are right up my alley. However, I stopped Echo in the Bone halfway through and felt like I was done with the he series. I couldn't get into some of the storylines and characters (Willie, and I only like John Gray as a supporting character) and I'm ok saying goodbye to it. 8y

aLmYbNeNr @Blair_Reads Let me know what you think if you switch to the audio! 8y
aLmYbNeNr @swishandflick Yes, the paperbacks are better! It's funny, I only just realized yesterday that the narrator is older. I had never looked her up. But because of that, I didn't have to get used to get voice. I'm probably not great at voices, but she didn't sound older to me. I wonder if I'll hear it differently now? 8y
aLmYbNeNr @Zelma It does take some getting used to the further in you get with all of those storylines and timelines, for sure! 8y
Zelma @aLmYbNeNr I was bored to tears in the middle of Echo and Outlander should not be boring. I quit after reading 500 pages and never looked back. 8y
aLmYbNeNr @Zelma Whoa! 500 is a long way to go before bailing. Although, I understand. I only recently began to give myself permission to bail and even then it's hard for me to bail when I'm less than halfway through. 8y
