4 ⭐ Jayme Lee Curtis is a master at asking a child‘s question. The thoughts and imagination of our narrator take them up high and down low in perfect drawing. It also has spot on cadence and amazing illustrations. If there was a GOAT of a celebrity author, it is Jayme Lee Curtis. And fun bit if you ever read one of her books check out her bio. She has done so much that I love how she chooses to write her bio in her kids books.

Thinking that people are supposed to do or be anything other than what they are is like saying that the tree over there should be the sky. I investigated that and found freedom.

Everyone is a mirror image of yourself—your own thinking coming back at you.

I fully admit to a second of cranky adult (you can be bored if you have to be at a desk or in a meeting without the necessity of an engaging task but the necessity of earning a paycheck!) but it's hard to argue that especially for the younger generations, getting out and exploring, treasuring the resources a library can provide are important, dare I say even more so as the amount of screens proliferate in children's lives. 1/2

Robotswithpersonality 2/2 I cannot get over Alvarez (Gomez)'s use of colour, so rich and varied, it's this lovely layered feel without being overwhelming. Adds such life to the stories she illustrates. 1y

I greatly enjoyed this book. Some of this information was absolutely revolutionary to me. Some of it I already knew, but he took those a step or more - further than I dared take them previously - to their logical end. There is nothing shocking about this book, honestly.

GingerAntics If one has thought critically about all the stories one has been told as a child and compared them with the actions of the story tellers, this falls right in line with what you already know, but adds more to broaden that understanding. I can definitely see this as a conversation starter for the open minded, and would gladly read it again with a good group. 2y
