It always feels so good to return back to these books and so extremely bittersweet when I finish them. Especially since I know I won‘t read then again until next year. I love these damn books and this journey. I love the way she wove everything together and the intricate details that reveal themselves when rereading. I love starting my year off like this with books that I love. Until next year...

I cannot have a Harry Potter reread without Butterbeer! It has become a tradition to drink Butterbeer during the new year while reading Potter! I ran to the store this morning when I realized that I hadn‘t yet enjoyed it! I have remedied that. This Butterbeer is delicious! Not just like the park but good enough for me.

As soon as I finish #hpnewyear2018 I‘ll be grabbing this book and diving right in! I have heard nothing but great things about this book. I am super pumped about our discussion happening later on this month! I‘m hoping this will be a great start for the new year!

Here we are again at the end of our journey.

The first time I read this book I finished it in 12 hours (don‘t worry I took a quick nap). I didn‘t know what to expect and there was so much to overcome. I had to know how it ended.

I love this dedication, I always have because I knew from the first book that I would stick with Harry to the very end. And here we are.

Finishing this book is always so rough. You know the journey is coming to an end but you‘ve just experienced an insurmountable loss and there is still so much more to come. More loss, more suffering, more harships. And you must continue to fight. I love re-reading this series. It‘s always so emotional but so damn worth it.

I am still bitter. I can admit that. I will never read the play again or go see it. I still can‘t believe that she made it a point to say all the time turners were destoyed. Then she wrote on Pottermore that she destroyed the time turners on purpose so no one can write an alternate storyline... only to let that play happen.

I am still bitter. I am still trying to foget it was ever written. Not canon to me.

I hate Snape. You can try and justify him all you want to but I can‘t stand him. That is a nod of Rowling‘s amazing writing that she was able to create a character that I so vehemently can‘t stand but look, his treatment of not just Harry but a majority of the students was just appaling. I cannot!
