I usually cheat when posting a #booksetinmycity by using San Francisco where I was born and still work, but I found this true crime 'gem' when I moved to Terra Linda a few years ago. The language is overblown and the descriptions of 1970s Marin County are stereotypical, borderline offensive, and comedic. But it's fun to have a nutty book about real murder set right around the corner 😁😵

I couldn't find a #booksetinyrcity, probably since I live in more of a town (Roy, Utah), but if you have read any books on Mormonism, Fundamentalist Mormons, the FLDS church, polygamy...those are probably set in my state. So I chose this one, which I read years ago and remember loving, but it is due for a reread this year. #booksetinyourcity #readjanuary

Graciouswarriorprincess I read this and it was a great insight into the Mormon faith. 7y
