pickThe story is tragic but beautiful. Rivers Solomon takes this horrifying piece of human history and retells it with an unexpected aftermath. The imagery and writing in this novella are amazing.

pickAdichie is a brilliant author and this collection of short stories are an example of just how good she is. Each story was interesting and different, which few authors can do. Most stories describe a different parts of the immigrant process for those coming from Africa with one or two exceptions that stay in Africa. Everyone should read it but particularly those who enjoy immigration stories or reading diversely. #invoices #booksbyWOC
