This is one of my favorites in the series. I love John Matthew and was so happy we finally got his and Xhex's story. Sometimes the subplots can over power the main plot but not this time. I also liked that we found out more about Xhex, Darius and Thorment. Still a lot of threads that I know we will follow as the series progresses. This was 5⭐️s for me. #BDB #BDBBuddyRead #BDBBookClub

TheSpineView Did you think this wrapped up some unanswered questions appropriately? It seems like it took the other brothers hundreds of years to find their partner. Do you feel John is a bit young, especially considering the Vampire lifespan? I also wondered if Xhex being only 1/2 vampire, would her blood be strong enough to sustain John? ShananigansReads I had completely forgotten the Thor/Darius part. I have more questions but about different characters. This world just gets more and more involved. I don‘t think the age gap between JM and Xhex is any different than the other brothers and their Shellens. 2w

julesG The way I understand the blood thing is that vampire blood contains something that human blood doesn't. Xhex isn't a human, she's part vampire and part 'vampire adjacent' - sympaths(sp?) feed off each other too, don't they? Beth is a half-vampire, but she can feed Wrath without problems. Same goes for John, he's a half-vampire and Xhex doesn't have a problem with his blood. 2w

julesG The Murdher/Eliahu Rathboone subplot was unnecessary. It gave Xhex closure in the end when she found out that Murdher was still alive. Yet, it distracted from the main plot since up to that closure point it just didn't make sense or fit into the story. 2w

InkedBookworm13 @TheSpineView I don't think he's too young. Thor found Wellsie right away. She fed him during his transition so it definitely happens. I do think Xhex being half sympath effects her blood though. I know with Wrath he has to feed from full blooded Vampires sometimes when he's really hurt because Beth's blood isn't enough. 2w

If it's real I'm gonna watch the hell out of it because it looks terrible

ETA: Maybe not, the production company is owned by Tosca Musk (Elon Musk's sister) and she shares some of his beliefs

I was updating my Black Dagger Brotherhood collection today and my husband asked about my labels. I explained this series is extremely long and has spinoff books but they don't come numbered so instead of looking it up, I just numbered them myself. He asked why the books didn't come numbered
Good question. Does anybody else do this to series that arent numbered on them? And why don't they number long series on the spines?
