Unwind | Neal Shusterman

Pickpick

Unwind by Neal Shusterman is a SF novel and ALA Best Book for Young Adults winner. This book is about a boy named Connor and how he must deal with the fact that his parents are sending him to be unwound. The setting is in the future after a civil war where children can be sent to “harvesting camps” where their organs are donated and they will live on forever through their donated organs.

Gabylaurel10 Although the book seems creepy, it is a really good read that would be perfect for high school students to do an LC with. http://www.litcircles.org/Overview/overview.html This book lined up with UDL principles 4.1 and 4.2 of having vary methods for response and optimize access to tools and assistive technologies. Especially using LC and allowing them to do digital LC roles. 6y
Gabylaurel10 This would also work perfectly with ESOL strategy 10 of working in cooperative groups! #UCFLAR3414SuB18 6y
