Not a fan of how Lyra gets sidelined so much in this book. I get that the narrative has expanded to more scenes where she isn't present (Lee Scoresby's quest, the witches, etc.), but in Lyra's story she spends too much time following and deferring to Will. Lyra Silvertongue shouldn't wait for permission from some boy she barely knows to do anything, much less consult her alethiometer. #NotMyLyra
