Pickpick

This was between a pick and a so-so for me. It was full of interesting information about native Alaskan culture and the tensions between natives and whites. But the romance element was overly predictable and the villains weren‘t fully fleshed out people. Finally, the pacing of the ending, rather than merely speeding up as is common in a thriller type plot, seemed rushed and superficial, with many questions left unanswered.

keithmalek Any relation to Franz? #NominativeDeterminism 5y
Lcsmcat @keithmalek The author bio calls her a “direct descendant” of him, but doesn‘t specify the relationship. And the unanswered questions weren‘t “Kafkaesque” so much as “I‘ve no idea how to wrap this up.” (edited) 5y
