pickLinh, a nun, asks Aimee to go Clichy to exchange envelope for a package. Recipient Barat is shot and dies in Aimee's arms. The RG - French secret service; group of veterans of war in Indochina, some wealthy ex-colonials and international corporations are implicated. Aimee promised to avoid danger but it finds her. I find Black's books to be easy reading & atmospheric. Paris is definitely a character in her books. Looking forward to next book.

gradcat @EadieB Hi Eadie! It‘s nice to catch up with you today. I‘m lots better, thank you for asking. Finally made it into the shower—ugh! I felt so gross—so feeling lots better! Maybe you have to sip on some honey bourbon for that cough. That‘s what I do...not for the flu, of course, but nagging cough sends me straight to the bourbon! Egads!! ♥️ 4y
