JaneyWaneyB @Traci1 it has been a bit of a slow start and I'm not warming to the characters like I did with Girl. I'm spending a lot of time trying to work out if it takes place before or during Girl 🤔 The action has just started so sticking with it Carey is easy to read 6y

The most interesting parts of this book all focus on Melanie. You cannot read a scene focused on her, regardless of point of view, without asking the same nagging questions: Is Melanie the girl? Is Melanie the monster? Does the answer make a difference? Should it make a difference? I won‘t be surprised if the book never offers a definitive answer to any of these, and I don‘t think that would be a mistake. #zombie #zombieapocalypse #hungries
