Our everyday actions and its reasons are explained in an interesting manner. There are many things which one already knew but the different chapters bring forth the mysteries of life in one book.

Would definitely recommend it for a one time read

Wise & hilarious! Features the puzzle of a botched bank robbery & hostage drama. I usually read & write darker fiction, but my book group chose this and I lam really enjoying it! #witty #humannature #surprising #bookgroup

This book is quite a compendium of the broad spectrum of human sexuality. Occasionally repulsive, but in the “can‘t look away” sense. Not one you sit down and read cover to cover in an afternoon, but definitely interesting.

Come-read-with-me Sounds intense. The flowers are gorgeous! 3y
REPollock @Come-read-with-me I have a subscription to a monthly bouquet with a local florist! They are always so lovely. 3y

The Moneychangers | Upton Sinclair
Mehso-so

A tale of how just the chance to get big money corrupts. Even seemingly straightlaced and earnest midwesterners and women cannot resist trying their hand at the game. If they only knew that those at the top are playing poker & making impulsive and personal choices that the rock the world! Sinclair dedicated this book, which is based on the real 1907 panic of Wall Street caused (and solved) by JP Morgan, to George Orwell. It‘s preachy. #classics

I gave the book a three because I know the man is brilliant. I heard him on multiple podcasts. I certainly find his discussions interesting. This book was just too much like a text book. And long. I found myself skipping sections and wanting a summary. If you are really interested in the subject, go for it. If you‘re a casual reader. Drink lots of coffee.

Your subconscious is a powerfully selfish presidential administration and your conscious mind is the press secretary lying to you about it. That‘s the premise of this interesting but uneven book exploring subconscious motivations for our supposedly logical and altruistic behaviors. I wanted to be captivated, but never quite got there. Think of it as “late night super interesting dorm room conversation with your roommate: the book.”

Max🐱says, that this is that look you get when your mom says she‘ll get you a snackie AFTER she finishes her current chapter. Sigh...😼 He wonders if it is just his mom or is it #HumanNature to choose reading over food? This is exactly why cats don‘t read... 😹(Don‘t feel too sorry for him, he got his snackie & is now napping...) #catsoflitsy 😽❤️#MaxTheCat

Trying to finish this library e-book before it has to go back. 😱
