pickWow. Jewel Parker Rhodes does it again. This is a beautifully nuanced, layered story written at an upper elementary/ middle school reading level. She has such a gift for making tough topics accessible for young readers. #GhostBoys tells the story of a 12 year old police shooting victim from his perspective as a ghost. The only living person who can see him is the daughter of the officer who shot him. There‘s so much to unpack with this one.
