The early Christie books are my favorite, but somehow I missed this one until now so it was my first read of it.
What I enjoyed: Papa Poirot as matchmaker for Hastings, the compare/contrast of the little gray cells with the clue-based human bloodhound approach to detection, and the feisty women Christie writes: #CinderellaSavesTheDay.

dragondrool I never got this re-read this month. I read the first chapter and then got too busy with school and my wonky neck triggering migraines. My note from the first read years ago indicates it's middle of the road. Perhaps I'll read two for October and catch up. 7y
