The Nightingale | Kristin Hannah

Pickpick

I admit that the prompt #ByKristinHannah for #52books was one I anticipated the least. Perhaps even dreaded it. I never really had interest in her books and maybe even read one bad review that subconsciously stuck with me. BUT after seeing numerous people rave that this was a favorite (especially you @aperfectmjk ) I decided to put a hold on The Nightingale and it was one of the better books I read this year. ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick We follow two sisters whose lives diverge during the German occupation of France in WWII. Both women experience love & loss and fight the Nazis in their own way. I was intrigued with the audiobook the entire way through.

December #bookspinbingo but I just realized I didn't even make a board OOPS! It's off the list @TheAromaOfBooks

Nikki_E I‘m not a huge fan of her contemporary fiction but her historical fiction is a treat. The Four Winds destroyed me. 2y
