Searching for Eternity | Elizabeth Musser

Pickpick

Set primarily in 1940s France and 1960s Atlanta, this book is a testament to the strength of the human spirit to survive despite unimaginable circumstances and suffering. It realistically portrays the different ways survivors deal with the after effects of such suffering, and showcases how time, faith, determination, hard work, and love (both human and divine) can help the slow process of healing. Tough but worthwhile reading. Christian Fiction.

I have to say that I am glad I am done with this book! It was ssoo slooow. The chapters are extremely long. Characters come and go for no reason, I could understand. I kept losing interest and fell asleep reading it a couple of times. I got to 70% in the before it finally dawned on me what it was all about. Then it just abruptly ended. Of course, this is just my opinion and some others liked it and even loved it. Read it and find out ⬇️

Monica5 what you think about it.

Tentative Publishing Date April 16, 2024

Thanks to Netgalley, St. Martin's Press and Ludington for the E-ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Cupcake12 How was the eclipse? Too cloudy in the UK to be seen! Thanks for joining in x 2w
SilversReviews Plans - mostly doctor appointments, but classes at the gym.

Iced tea is my favorite drink while reading.

I use a bookmark for print copies.

Current read: Miss Morgan's Book Brigade

Thanks for the fun.

Book #6 of 2024: “The Strawberry Statement: Notes of a College Revolutionary” by James Simon Kunen

Eh. It‘s Kunen‘s diary from a couple of years at Columbia. I didn‘t find it relatable but there were a couple good quotes.

Reportage from around the 1960s. Gives a view of Poland post Stalin. There is a general sense of decay in all the pieces and each piece has hidden depths.
A book to be dipped into and read when the mood fits.

The first of many Beatles books I‘m going to be tackling this year ✨ heard really good things about this one from uber fans of the band and I like that it has an emphasis on not just the band but what was going on in the sixties at the time and how the two impacted each other.

LaraS Ooo looks interesting. This Boy was recently recommended to me too, I might just have to read a Beatles double header next year 5mo
