I have such huge admiration for how Machale develops his characters and story line. Bobby is never displayed as a leader who knows all, but as a kid finding his way, with doubts and questions and confusions. Saint Dane has once again added a very pleasing layer of complexity to the story, and I find myself wondering what to believe right along with Bobby. I really feel the tension building in the battle for halla with ever page.

Before the Hunger Games, there was the Quillian Games. It's an amazing insight into politics of a future society not too far off from our own. This whole series comes as a recommend for children until this book; shit gets real.
