Am motivated to get all my affairs in order as well as know what really needs to happen when. My niece is going through this situation and it astonishes me how one assumes things but have no idea of the logistics. For example, a company that offers 2 times salary life insurance… how and when is that distributed, does it get considered into probate, etc etc. I think I will purchase this - does anyone know of a more recent guidebook?

ChaoticMissAdventures I wish more people would do this! My grandma died last week and I am currently sitting in her living room with mounds of things trying to decide what to do with it all. I had to go through tax returns from as far back as the 80s trying to find all her paperwork we needed this week. Death is hard for the living in so many ways. 2d
BkClubCare @ChaoticMissAdventures - find this book, it at least can tell you what is first to do, and to breathe. Get LOTS of copies of the death certificate- you will want to have many. And… I am sorry. Many {{{hugs}}} it will work out. Keep those memories as a source of joy - she is still with you, in your heart. ❤️ 2d
IriDas @ChaoticMissAdventures I‘m sorry to hear of your loss. I hope your family can find comfort in each other and your memories. 2d
Dilara @ChaoticMissAdventures So sorry for your loss. I am still dealing with paperwork for my father's back in May and I hate it. 2d
ChaoticMissAdventures @BkClubCare @IriDas @Dilara thank you, we are doing okay, it is a great reminder that we should all be getting books like this and making it easier for our loved ones. ❤️ 1d
