pickIt‘s a hot day and also my last Saturday before the new school year starts, so I took an afternoon break from housework to read this graphic novel. It‘s a fun story of a girl obsessed with a fantasy world who finds that world intersecting with her own real world. It‘s also about friendship and realizing everything is not necessarily as it seems from the outside.

WonderlandDaisey @mabell I think this would be a good choice if she‘s at all interested in fantasy. Marnie is a nerdy girl with few friends and obsessed with the fantasy world in her books. When a creature from that world shows up with a griffon egg, she‘s ecstatic, but it turns out it is supposed to be for the popular girl. The 2 of them become friends over the course of the story. The friendship development is really the focus. 2d
