This memoir highlights the growth that life transitions demand of us, if we dare to take a leap into the unknown, as Melinda French Gates did when she decided to divorce her husband, Bill Gates. This is her story, about moving forward in her life. She credits her parents, especially her aerospace engineer father for instilling her with the confidence she needed as a female expecting to work in the science, math,or computer fields. She writes candidly⬇️

kspenmoll ⬆️ about her transition to college, motherhood, losing a close friend,& divorce. She Acknowledges her life of privilege, & discusses the celebrity & notoriety she experienced, especially after her decision to divorce. She talks of listening to her inner self, & intersperses quotation‘s & interpretations of poetry,& other prose. Some of her self development was not new to me, probably due to my age, personality,& life story.Lots of food for thought. 2mo

This was the perfect roadtrip book for a 4 hour drive! Melinda Gates talks about life changes, from going away to college, becoming a mother, losing a close friend and her divorce from Bill. Everyone experiences life changes and this book left me with things to think about and the motions of moving forward in life.
