I adore this series, and let me tell you that I absolutely flew through this book! I really enjoyed the character development in this story, and the reappearance of previous main characters was an added bonus. The ending had a satisfying yet bittersweet conclusion, and I can‘t really think of a better way to end this book.

Marshal Rosie is assigned to stay with Adam when he goes to fix Tanria's broken portals, but the portals prove unfixable, and Rosie and Adam end up stuck in Tanria.
I loved how much deeper this got into the lore of new and old gods in this series. And I loved that the time jumps showed how much Tanria and the marshals have changed since the first book in this series. I loved the way the series touched on love and family and death and grief.

pickI am such a fan of this series, that when the audiobook came up on Netgalley, I jumped on it so fast and could not put it down! Rosie has been such an interesting part of this series that it was lovely to see her get her own story. The world building in this book is just *chef's kiss*.
