Well, the title didn‘t lie. 🤣
I‘ve read better elimination/survival novels but I always like to give Kate Alice Marshall a try.

This was an interesting take on a reality show. It starts rather slowly, but it still manages to keep my interest for the most part. However, the billionaire's motivation for bringing these kids to such a remote location was rather laughable. I definitely prefer this author's adult fiction to her YA work.
🎙️•Jess Nahikian‘s narration was a little breathy, but overall not bad.

While I prefer Marshall‘s books aimed at adult audiences, this YA read is fast & entertaining! Mercy joins a diverse group of 18-20 year olds in a ghost town for an extreme survival challenge for a new reality show. It‘s soon clear that something unites all the contestants & that nothing seems to be going as they would expect—with a higher body count than expected, this is hard to put down but manages to oddly repeat a plot line… a page turner!
