What a gem of a book.
Look into their eyes. Really look. The eyes reveal the joy, the sadness, the layers of life experiences; every life is a story revealed in the eyes. Though some may not see the value of their own stories, those who do can then value the stories of others. When one person sees another with eyes of faith, hope, and love then that one will see the truth of the other's story. Especially when seeing through eyes of love. ⬇️
1. Have to sit up or I‘ll be sleeping 😂 Even reading in bed, I‘m sitting.
2. My husband and I both bought Theo of Golden the same week without realizing it. So we‘re both reading it. I think that this is the first time in our 38 year marriage that this has happened and that we‘re reading the same book at the same time.

What a beautiful book! This character-driven story is about the year that Theo, a mysterious older man, lives in the town of Golden. Theo is captivated by the portraits on display at the local coffee shop and is on a mission to gift them to the subjects. The story moves a bit slow, but I didn‘t mind because I loved spending time with Theo and the people of Golden. The ending is poignant and lovely. This is a great work of craftsmanship.
