I preferred the second volume to the first one. I think the kids are really coming into their abilities and become more of the heroes they want to be. I think this volume had more of a story to it, but that is probably because of all the work the first volume did to build it up. I'm curious as to how this story is going to play out, right now there is a lot of confusion as to what is really going on.

It might be that my expectations is too high; or that I keep wanting that “SAGA magic”, and not finding it.

Also, it feels like this story keeps going in circles, it keeps ending up with the teens not one step closer to outing their parents.

Scochrane26 Is this the series that Rainbow Rowell took over? 4y
Enchanted_Bibliophile @Scochrane26 I believe it is, yes. 4y

Enjoyed this one as much as the first! The Runaways are still on the run and trying to figure out what's next for them. First they have to worry about their evil parents, mutants, and aliens now what have they run into when they help a mysterious boy.

Very enjoyable. I thought it was an improvement over vol 1 and it makes me want to continue reading the series. #Marvel #Runaways

Moving this to the top of the TBR pile. Kids want to read Vol. 3 but I told them not until I‘ve read this one. Have to keep up — don‘t mind as long as they are reading!

Unfortunately I didn't like this volume as much as the first. This scene made me laugh out loud though!
