My #halloween needle pen is great for taking notes about the horror genre. #libraryschool

PatienceFortitude I met Joyce Saricks at a publishing conference and fangirled at her so enthusiastically that I think she was perplexed. 😳 7y

I grew up in a small town in rural Missouri, with a small library. Fortunately my mom and grandma were big readers or I probably wouldn‘t have been as exposed to books as I was. Outside of the Scholastic book order there weren‘t a lot of opportunities for new books. Mystery and suspense is a broad #genre that still has a special place in my heart, even if I don‘t read it as much as I used to. #30daysofreadathon
