In her rearview mirror were two men she loved and an ominous secret that would forever haunt her. Now, tragedy has brought her back, and shes determined to forget that fateful night. But in a town like Myers, with familiar faces and chilling memories lurking around every corner, moving on is easier said than done. Before the ink can dry on the closing documents for her new residence, Maggie begins to feel unsettled. In every room, theres the unmistakable sensation shes being watched. The strange sounds, odd smells, and bizarre occurrences only add to her paranoia. Theres something sinister about her new home When she discovers the devastating truth about the house and its grim history, Maggies worst fears are realized. In order to survive, she must unearth the secrets shed always planned to keep buried. After all, they say that home is where the heart is, but as Maggie knows, home is also where the skeletons lie. 4.5⭐Just like my last K-Mod romantic suspense(The Better Choice)this one has a love triangle…and I was still into it. However, this one did get a little dicey for me…started venturing into a convoluted mess…but then she threw in some twists that had me hooked again in the last quarter. I just have one❓…how does this author churn out books so quickly? It didn‘t hurt that the narrator was my fav, Brittany Pressley, she was terrific as always.

Wow, wow, wow! This book. This is my very first Kiersten Modglin book and it certainly won‘t be my last! This book had me staying up way too late to finish because I just had to find out what was going on. Im not going to lie, there were a few times I wanted to turn the lights on because I had the creeps. This is definitely one of my favorite books so far this year.
