Falling is a gripping and suspenseful read, filled with unexpected twists and turns. I can‘t help but feel grateful that I wasn‘t reading this book while traveling by plane. The characters were well-developed, and the plot kept me on the edge of my seat. I look forward to reading more books by T.J. Newman.

My local bookstore asks me to contribute reviews for their newsletter and handed me this one. I wasn‘t sure what to expect when I opened the book, but from page one…wow. Just wow. This is an adrenaline-filled rollercoaster ride, filled with terror and red herrings and so many surprises. Underneath it all is a statement regarding first impressions and the way we tend to not think how our blasé look at world events impacts others. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This book is making me tear up on the T (subway) this morning.

After reading and enjoying her, Drowning, I went back to read this, her first. While it wasn‘t as tightly crafted, Newman can certainly provide a thrill-ride.

Pilot Bill Hoffman has been asked to be substitute pilot for a flight to New York. His family is then taken hostage. They‘ll die if he doesn‘t agree to crash the plane. Newman gives us evil doers that are real, complex with understandable motives. Read it in one sitting.

Read this fun thriller in one go while on vacation last month.
