49/150 The blurb describes this as "Patrick O'Brien Meets James Bond" and that's pretty much spot on. Thomas Grey, a spy for Her Majesty's Secret Service, resigns after the tragic death of his wife. So he finds himself approached by Irish mercenaries who want to use his knowledge to aid France in the war with England. Grey sees it as a change to get revenge on the man who killed his wife. Lots of action, daring escapes...continued in comments ⬇️

Ruthiella Sounds like fun. If I run into it “in the wild”, I‘ll check it out. I really like the Patrick O‘Brian books. And I used to love Bond. 2y
