queerbookreader @xicanti Do!!!! I just spent $30 on the digital comic sale! I got She Hulk's and Spider Woman's Masterworks collections for like $3.40 each you cannot get a better deal than that 7y

queerbookreader @xicanti Comixology also has a sale on Batman and Harley Quinn comics cos of their anniversaries. I decided to get the rest of her New52 series in print since the ones I need aren't too pricey, but I think all those are $5.99 on comixology 7y

xicanti I bought a ton of stuff during Marvel's last Kindle sale, but this one includes quite a few things the last one didn't! I regret not buying any of the Epic Collections back then, too, so I'm definitely gonna score a couple of those. 7y

queerbookreader @xicanti There's still some of the older series, like early 2000s and back, that still aren't available. Which sucks. But I did manage to get just about every other She-Hulk series that I haven't gotten yet! So that's exciting!! And I got the second volume collection of Mystique's series!! Couldn't find Emma Frost's series or the second collection of Elektra's Rucka series but oh well 7y

xicanti I went WILD and bought the last two vols of Fraction & Aja's HAWKEYE to round out my library, the X-Factor Epic Collection, and the two latest X-Men trades. Cost me about $9.50 after I finished off a gift card! I'm happy. I might dip back in and buy all of Slott & Allred's SILVER SURFER, too, because I love it so. 7y

Jinjer Concert tickets are ridiculous now. When I was in high school I could afford to go to concerts ALL THE TIME just using my babysitting money. $10...$15....dirt cheap. Comparing the price of my 1986 Bon Jovi ticket to my 2016 Bon Jovi ticket is quite a shock. ðŸ˜‚ 7y

The holiday special was so cute ?? not my fav trade of the series so far but I still liked it a lot. Harley has really been turning to the "good" side (in her own chaotic way, ofc) in her own series and I've loved seeing her acting independently of the Joker and seeing how she makes her decisions and what truly matters to her. She's got a much bigger heart than you'd think. Giving Harley her own entire series was such a good idea bravo DC

mcipher I used to love her in the old Batman cartoon from the 90s, but I am so not a graphic novel/comic book person. 7y

queerbookreader @mcipher What about graphic novels don't you like? It's certainly a unique medium, and sometimes it can be too visually chaotic and make me too distracted to focus 7y

mcipher @lemonlime799 exactly!! I get distracted really easily by the pictures, and sometimes lose track of which panel is next. I think the main things, though, are 1- I always feel like I'm reading it wrong; and 2 - I want more words and description and story. Does that make sense? 7y

queerbookreader @mcipher That totally makes sense. You have to be in the mood to read comics, otherwise you'll just blankly stare at the pages. I go through comic binge periods where I read a ton all at once bcz I can concentrate on them, but the second that's over I go through pauses until I feel like reading them again. That's basically the same with every genre I read tho 7y

queerbookreader @mcipher Idk if this will give you more of what you're looking for but giving marvel classic's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice might be something to check out. It's obviously got minimal writing compared to the original but compared to most comics, there's a pretty big amount of writing. They also did sense & sensibility

I loved volume one but it just hasn't delivered the same fun since. The switching of artists is headache inducing, the antics are almost boring and the best parts (Harley and Ivy being awesome) are few and far between
