Sarah Vaughn‘s books are great for my my Monday-Friday brain. Compelling legal thrillers with a pinch of politics.

JillR I really enjoyed this one, I need to check out her other books 13mo
MicheleinPhilly @JillR The only other one I‘ve read is Anatomy of a Scandal. Really enjoyed that one too. 13mo

I really liked the themes in this book but was frustrated with the ending and felt it negated the well woven themes.

I only enjoy a psychological thriller if it‘s excellently done, and this one definitely is; I couldn‘t put it down. A female MP driven to fear by social media abuse and threats, a journalist then found dead in her home, and the ensuing tense courtroom drama. This story covers political life, social media use, teen bullying, revenge porn and the hatred many in public life, particularly women, experience. Very timely, very good.

Cathythoughts Sounds good Jill. I enjoy this genre to if it‘s well done … just downloaded a sample on kindle 👍🏻 1y

I was invested in this story - it‘s thought provoking from all sorts of aspects. The thrills are subdued in the middle by courtroom drama, but I was equally intrigued by the legal elements. I liked that sides were not clearly drawn as the good and the bad - it helped paint the picture of how tenuous a reputation is.

I'm not usually a big fan of political stories but this one interested me. It wasn;t quite as good as Id hoped and I wanted a different reasoning for the events but I liked the twist with her daughter and step mother. The plot is quite a steady flow throughout the story. The ending was good and I liked how everything was tied together especially the section with Rebecca. A good read but not quite for me. #Netgalley 3*

I very much enjoyed this story. It‘s quite a tense and suspenseful read. It really had me on the edge of my seat at times. It made think about how precarious life is, especially if a person is in the public eye. It‘s well written with some realistic and strong characters. I found it engrossing, absorbing and thought provoking. And quite the page turner. If you enjoy courtroom style thrillers, you‘ll love this one! #Pigeonhole

Book recommendation from The Sun On Sunday newspaper. Reputation by Sarah Vaughan
As a politician, Emma has sacrificed a great deal for her career including her marriage and her relationship with her daughter, Flora.
The glare of the spotlight is unnerving for Emma, particularly when it leads to countless insults, threats, trolling as she tries to work in the public. As a woman, she knows her reputation is worth its weight in gold.
