I enjoyed this - a lot more than I expected to!

Rose returns from Spain to her family home, in a small Devon seaside town, following the sudden death of her mother. Shock after shock follows, and secrets are uncovered, as she unexpectedly settles back in to village life.

I guess it‘s along the lines of Katie Fforde -

rockpools predictable romance, dogs, a crumbling old house - but I liked that neither the romance nor the ‘secret‘ were the be-all and end-all for Rosie. And the audio, narrated by Francesca Waite (no, Libby, not read by the author 🙄) was excellent. 2y

Current audio, which I‘m enjoying MUCH more than I expected to. It‘s probably along the lines of Katie Fforde (described as heartwarming women‘s fiction, which generally would have me running for the hills!!)

Also, as author-read audio with Devon accents goes, this is surprisingly not annoying. A few repeated lines/editing errors, but generally well done.

Mostly, though, the colours of the cover just make me happy!
