pickA really lovely book that highlights a diverse swath of inspirational Native people. I was familiar with more of them than I thought I‘d be going in. My only minor critique is I wish there had been more representation from Northeastern tribes, who I feel are often underrepresented. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #NonfictionNovember
This is the tenth person I read about and the only familiar name. It is deplorable that I know so little of #IndigenousPeople

pickAn excellent and expansive overview of exactly what the title says: notable native people you should be aware of but probably aren't. I've been actively trying to read more books by Indigenous authors, and I learned about so many incredible historical and contemporary figures doing important work.
