Good God
Good God: The One We Want to Believe In but Are Afraid to Embrace | Lucas Miles
1 post | 1 read
God is neither responsible for your pain, nor is He allowing it. In fact, He is against it and wants nothing more than to prevent it. Deep inside every person is a hope that God is good. Yet faced with personal hardship or the world's tragedies, it's easy to doubt God's character and to blame Him for our pain. Good God unpacks our misguided concepts of God so that we can begin to see Him as he truly is -- pure, loving, and completely good. If you've wondered if God is testing you -- or perhaps worse, punishing you, you are not alone. Most of us want to believe that God is good, but we cannot find a way to harmonize God's goodness with the evil that exists in this world. Good God introduces the God that we all want to believe in but have been too afraid to embrace. With the Bible as his guide, Lucas takes readers on a journey to uncover the lost and forgotten nature of the Creator of the Universe and discover a real relationship with God. Not only is God not dead, but Lucas's book shows us that he is even better than we previously thought! -- Kevin Sorbo, actor, God's Not Dead This book is for anyone who has struggled with pain, disappointment, and tragedy, and it needs to be read by the most skeptical among us -- which I have to admit, is far too often you and me. -- Phil Cooke, filmmaker, media consultant, and author of One Big Thing Lucas Miles's Good God will not just change the way you view God, but enable you to fall in love with a very good God. -- Jerry Grieser, author, God's House of Mirrors

If God is real, why does he permit suffering? I want to embrace him but I can‘t. There‘s too many unanswered questions. Why do terrible people get away with awful stuff and good people die early from cancer?! If this is you, you need to read this book which Miles explains brilliantly exactly why God is not punishing people unjustly and does not permit suffering. Total game changer.
