Midnight & I love this one. I love the gentle approach to setting goals & that the focus is on the process, not the outcomes. I‘ve begun doing some of the exercises, so we‘ll see how this goes for the long run. I also like that there‘s room for customization with her methods. She references actual studies & shows that there‘s nothing wrong with us for falling short of “perfection,” instead we need to shift our focus & give ourselves a little room.

Using the Goal Flip exercise from the tagged book to get myself in the right headspace for 2023. Added my flipped goals to my revamped vision board for the new year. This exercise includes noting actionable steps, mini-milestones, big wins, and ways you can infuse joy into your process. I love how gentle this method is compared to other goal setting strategies I‘ve tried.

“It‘s by focusing on the process, the day-to-day actions, that gets you lasting, real results, and actually enjoy getting there. It requires a reframe to focus on the day-to-day and the small actions, to stop living for the future, to create change that actually lasts, and to find joy in the process.”

Here‘s the author discussing “January syndrome.” I think I‘m reading this one at just the right time.

This was an impulse request from #netgalley. I enjoy self help and usually take away a nugget or two from most books. I hadn‘t heard of the author or her podcast.

Well....wow. I thoughts there was lots of good information here, presented in a new and unique way with clear and simple actionable steps to take. I found the author‘s podcast and plan to enjoy exploring these ideas in more detail there.
