The title is fitting. Sarah Dove, town librarian, has a knack for issuing books to the people of Dove Pond, but newcomer Grace Wheeler doesn't have time for friends, let alone time to read a book. Sarah believes Grace is the savior that this beloved town needs. Grace wants little to do with the town and quirky residents. Eventually she embarks on the challenge and discovers she's not the only one rescuing the town, maybe she needed rescuing too.
