4 posts | 4 read | 2 to read
You dont think Jamie and I have secrets, do you? No, we tell each other everything. She smiled. Including your dirty little secret. So, thinking about it, maybe its time to start being nice to me? THE WIFE: Clare is ready for a break. Its been a tough year and now she wants to put her feet up. Arriving at the Italian villa for their summer holiday, she decides its high time her husband and his family did some of the work. After all, her husband owes her THE HUSBAND: Even though Dan had his head turned by someone else, hes realised the error of his ways. Hes here now, and he says its for keeps. Clare can trust him, cant she? At least hell have his brother there, to keep him in line THE BROTHER: Jamie is the prodigal child, back in the family fold again, after years of travelling abroad. But when he gets to the villa, hes not alone. Hes brought a wife, someone none of them have met before. THE SISTER-IN-LAW: Ella is everything Clare isnt. Glamorous. Young. Influential. But she knows a secret about Clare. Something that has the power to break the whole family apart. And theres someone who will do whatever it takes to make sure that this deep secret never comes to the surface. An utterly unputdownable, gripping, twisty psychological thriller perfect for fans of Before I Go To Sleep, The Girl on the Train and Date Night. Readers love Sue Watson: Omg this book!!!!! Maybe this is unfair, but I read a sample of this book and it was AWFUL. Why? Maybe because of the narrator‘s repetitions within a few pages or the name of a person spelled 2 different ways. We all have our own viewpoints and experiences but if I can prevent someone from wasting their money I am glad to put my opinion out there. Too many better books.

Thanks to #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. Another mesmerising read from Sue Watson. From the first chapter I was hooked. A domestic thriller I couldn't put down. Your new sister in law knows your biggest secret. In a tension filled family holiday everything and everyone are not as it appears to be. Suspenseful writing with an ending I didn't anticipate. Secrets and lies at their destructive best.
