Mehso-so

I finished this book overnight when I could not sleep.I was intrigued by the novel‘s information about art history, art museum‘s operations, Amsterdam & lost/stolen art during WII, but I found myself getting increasingly annoyed by the protagonist, Zelda. She seemed immature for her age & impulsive & unable to foresee consequences of her actions.

Eh. As I previously mentioned, the WWII story of what happened to the gallery owner, the frame maker, and the missing artwork was interesting. The modern story, esp the modern characters, were mostly annoying. Zelda's naivete every step of the way became too much for me. Turns out there are two more books starring her and all three have good reviews on Amazon! I'm glad I didn't bail on this one but I'll pass on the rest.

I'm at 74% and I'm enjoying the parts of the story set in the past so I'm going to finish this BUT the MC is a dingaling. 🙄 I'm super annoyed and am just hanging on to see how the conflict gets resolved. (Awesome photo found on pinterest)
