Pickpick

I have read only one Ms. Marple (Murder at the Vicarage) & although my personal preference is for Poirot, this delightful little volume demonstrates Dame Agatha didn't give all of her best lines to the Belgian with the gray matter:
*I always believe the worst. What is so sad is that one is usually justified in doing so.
*To commit a successful murder must be very much like bringing off a conjuring trick.
*Life is really a One Way Street, isn't it?

BookishMe I used to read more Poirot books when I was in school. Only in recent years, I realise I prefer Miss Marple and have been reading her books in order. That journey is coming to an end soon and *sob*sob* was discussing about both sleuths with another AC fan. I was grumbling how Poirot books number over 30, practically thrice the 13 primary titles of Miss Marple. 4y
vivastory @BookishMe I can definitely understand the appeal of Miss Marple! I'm going to try to read her books in order. I've been reading the Poirot entries haphazardly. What are your favorites? 4y
BookishMe I especially like those featuring Miss Marple throughout the story, instead of only for few chapters (in The Moving Finger) A Murder is Announced, 4:50 from Paddington and Nemesis (features characters from Carribean Mystery) will be my top picks. A Pocket Full of Rye has great plot which I enjoyed even while rereading 4y
vivastory @BookishMe The editor excerpted frequently from Nemesis & A Murder is Announced. I'm looking forward to both of them! In fact, I think I'll have to read a Christie after my current book 4y
BookishMe 👍🏽👍🏽 She has unexpectedly become another comfort read these days. I hope to get hold of this tagged book soon ;D 4y

A cute, tiny book about Miss Marple and her famous quotes. A short entertainment and a nice read between two chunksters. 😍💓🕵️ #24b42020 @Andrew65
